Melania Trump, sosyal medya hesabından yaptığı paylaşımda, iki ülke arasındaki bölgesel ateşkesin başladığını duyurdu.

Ukrayna ile Rusya arasındaki ateşkes, 27 Ekim'de Moskova saatiyle sabah 04.00’te yürürlüğe girdi." ifadesini kullandı.

Söz konusu bölgesel ateşkesin temel amacının insani yardım konvoylarının güvenli şekilde geçiş yapabilmesini sağlamak olduğunu vurgulayan Melania Trump, ateşkesin Herson bölgesinin Oleşki kentini kapsadığını aktardı.

Melania Trump, bölgesel ateşkese ilişkin detayların, Rusya Genelkurmay Başkanı Valeriy Gerasimov tarafından da doğrulandığını kaydetti.

Beyaz Saray'ın internet sitesinden önceki günlerde yapılan açıklamada, ABD Başkanı Donald Trump'ın eşi Melania Trump'ın, Ukrayna'nın Herson bölgesinde iki ateş arasında kalan Oleşki şehri için "özel bir ateşkes" sağladığı bildirilmişti.

Rusya Genelkurmay Başkanı Valeriy Gerasimov, insani operasyon kapsamında Rus Silahlı Kuvvetlerinin 27 Ekim'de Moskova saatiyle 04.00'ten itibaren Herson yönünde saldırıları durduracağını ve "geçici ateşkes" uygulayacağını belirtmişti.
